QR codes are funny black and white boxes that have information in them.

Teachers used it to store information on a subject the classroom is working on. The teacher can put in a link connect to you tube. Teacher will use the qr to put more information the teacher would like the students to see put the teacher didn't have time to show the students in class. So the students can use the qr later at their time.
A teacher can put a qr at the end of a presentation for the students can get a copy of the lecture.
QR are being used in books and textbooks. Reader can get more information, the qr is taking care of a CD. Teacher are also using the qr for assignments and conferences.

Unit/Lesson Topic: Zoo animals/naming animal an facts on the animals

Grade: preschool/4K

Time of year: Beginning, Mid year

Activities:

(QR) Students will help the teacher pick animal pictures from google images. Children will learn the name of the animal in English and Spanish language. Then students will help find facts about the animal. After all this information is collected it will be put on a website call valenm12.weebly.com you can also add pictures of the students (with parents permission) working on this project. When the students had added the animals they want to learn about, added the some pictures of themselves, created a qr code for the website valenm12.weebly.com. Sent a newsletter to the parents addressing the project the student are working on for the week. Make sure you sent the qr and explain how to get to the page and what to do or work on with their child. You can add another website where the children can play games on line and the games would be all about zoo animals. Sent with your news letter the website address or the qr of those sites you would like the parents to look at.
